I like my ink a little runnier, is there a way to thin SQYD out?
∙ With each color we try to have the perfect mix of opacity and drips. Thinning SQYD further than we have may result in a less opaque product, but you certainly can thin it. Since SQYD is an oil based industrial ink we recommend cutting it with a lacquer thinner or Xylene until it has reached your desired viscosity. Rubbing alcohol and water will not thin it!
Will SQYD work in a pump action marker?
∙ Probably not. Our ink is made to be applied with squeezable marking devices to go on thick. We do sell pump action markers with a specialized version of the ink, however, the specialized versions of our ink are not available in 8oz. bottles at the moment.
How long does it take to dry?
∙ SQYD is designed to be a long lasting industrial enamel. This means that SQYD will not dry as fast as some other inks on the market, However, it will outlast other inks on the market. Generally, SQYD products will be dry to the touch in 4 minutes to one hour.
What surfaces can I use SQYD on?
∙ SQYD can be used on almost any surface. Ideal surfaces include; wood, glass, metal, stone, plastic and rusted metal. Always use in a well ventilated area.
Do I need to mix it?
∙ Yes. Always give SQYD products a substantial shaking before use to ensure product has been mixed thoroughly.
Why is SQYD better than your Mom's ink?
∙ Because your mom's ink doesn't hold up outdoors and fades...also nobody likes your Mom. Sorry to break it to you.
